MAIZALL,
the International Maize Alliance

MAIZALL engages with private sector stakeholders in the food supply chain and with government officials at the national and international levels to address regulatory obstacles to innovation in agriculture.

What We Do

MAIZALL is led by a Board of Directors made up of farmers and elected by our member associations. The MAIZALL presidency rotates among members countries, with each president serving a one-year term. A staff coordinator supports MAIZALL’s activities.

Our farmer directors represent MAIZALL in discussions with private sector stakeholders, national government officials and officials from international organizations such as the European Union, the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). MAIZALL farmers often speak at international conferences to bring their practical experiences to the table.

MAIZALL also develops position papers on innovative tools and practices and distributes these to our target audiences. Areas of focus include agriculture biotechnology, plant breeding innovation and crop protection products.
