On May 1, 2024, Mr. Pedro Ottoni was appointed as Director of MAIZALL, representing Abramilho, the Brazilian association of corn and sorghum growers.  He replaced Cesario Ramalho, who joined MAIZALL’s committee of alternate Directors. During a recent Board meeting the Directors thanked Mr. Ramalho for his years of dedicated service, which included a year as MAIZALL’s President.

Pedro Ottoni is a farmer in Minas Gerais, Brazil, where he produces grains in irrigated and rain-fed areas. Born in 1994, he spent his childhood in contact with coffee production at his family’s farm, graduated in agronomy at Escola Superior de Agricultura Luiz de Queiroz (ESALQ/USP) and completed an exchange program at University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL). Today Mr. Ottoni oversees the family farm operations in the city of Uberaba in the State of Minas Gerais. He focusess on the production of corn and soybeans seeds, in addition to rotating his areas with sorghum and wheat. Pedro is the executive and operational director of his family company that also produces carrots, coffee and avocado.
