On July 1, 2024 the Presidency of MAIZALL was transferred from John Linder (United States) to Bernhard L. Kiep, a farmer in Brazil. Mr. Kiep was born and raised on a family farm in the State of São Paulo, which produces soybeans, corn, sorghum, oat and edible beans. The farm raises livestock in an integrated system with row crop (which generates CO2 credits using no-till methods), produces dairy and grows eucalyptus trees.
Mr. Kiep is a member of the Board of Abramilho, the Brazilian association of corn and sorghum growers and has held executive and board positions in a wide range of agricultural businesses in Brazil, Europe and the United States. Mr. Kiep became a member of the Board of MAIZALL October 2022 and will be President of MAIZALL until June 30, 2025.
