Mr. Ignacio Garciarena has been appointed as MAIZALL’ new Board member, representing MAIZAR (maize and sorghum association) from Argentina. He replaced Juan Minvielle, a grower from Argentina and former President of MAIZALL.

Mr. Garciarena runs a family company that produces grains and raises livestock in three Argentine provinces. With a degree in Agricultural Economics, he has been involved in agriculture throughout his career as manager of irrigation- and grains storage companies.  Ignacio was also National Director of Agriculture from 2015 to 2019 in Argentina’s government. He is active in several representative institutions of the Argentine agricultural sector, including MAIZAR and Fundación Barbechando.
