On July 1, 2025 the Presidency of MAIZALL was transferred from Bernhard Kiep (Brazil) to Manuel Ron, a farmer and pioneering agri-food entrepreneur from Argentina. Manuel farms 700 hectares of corn and soybeans in Córdoba. He also has a beef cattle operation in the Northern part of the country.

Manuel is the co-founder and president of Bio4, an Argentine leader in corn bioethanol production and sustainable agriculture. With a strong commitment to climate change mitigation, he has transformed Bio4 into an innovation hub that integrates renewable energy, circular economy principles, and cutting-edge agricultural practices.

A thought leader in the intersection of agriculture, energy, and sustainability, Ron actively advocates for public-private collaboration and policies that foster investment in biofuels and climate-resilient agri-food systems. Mr. Ron holds a degree in Agricultural Engineering from the National University of Buenos Aires, and has served as President of Córdoba Innovation and Entrepreneurship Agency.

For the past 15 years he has been a board member of Maizar, the Argentinian corn supply chain, and recently he became president of MAIZALL, the International Maize Alliance. The members of MAIZALL are Abramilho of Brazil, Maizar of Argentina, the National Corn Growers Association and the U.S. Grains Council of the United States. The alliance works to address regulatory obstacles to trade in corn that was produced using innovative agricultural production tools and practices, including agricultural biotechnology.
